Purchase, Shipping & Returns Policies

Custom orders:

The custom order process begins with a design consultation where we visualize and draft a sketch of the desired piece. Once a design is approved, it generally takes four to six weeks for the piece to be completed and delivered to you. Notification of completion is sent to the customer along with a final invoice prior to shipment.

1. Initial Consultation
 We begin with a conversation to understand your ideas, inspiration, and goals for the piece. This can be done via email or conference call and usually takes 15-30 minutes to complete.
2. Design & Drafting
 Next, we will create an initial design concept tailored to your vision. You’ll have a chance to review and request one to two rounds of revisions to ensure it’s just right. This phase typically takes 1–2 weeks.
3. Approval & Deposit
 Once the final design is approved, you’ll receive a custom order form to sign, along with an invoice for a 20% deposit. This deposit secures your place in our production queue and is applied to the final cost of the piece. Full payment is due at notice of completion, prior to shipment. All invoicing and payments for custom orders are processed through PayPal. (Note: Payments for Elements by SilverEarthDesigns are processed via the Etsy payment platform.)
4. Creation & Craftsmanship
 With deposit and approval in hand, work begins. Each piece is made by hand in our studio using quality materials and time-honored techniques. Please allow 2–3 weeks for fabrication. Complex designs may take longer.
5. Packaging & Shipping
 Once your jewelry is complete, it’s carefully packaged and shipped with love. We offer free domestic ground shipping on all custom orders, and final delivery usually occurs within 4–6 weeks from the start of the process, depending on the complexity of the design. Should you require overnight or two-day shipping, please contact us for discounted shipping rates.

Voluntary Returns:

We want you to love your custom piece. However, should you choose to return it, we offer a 15-day return window from the date of delivery. Please note that:

• The 20% deposit is non-refundable, as it covers production costs for commissioned items.
• With the exception of items damaged in initial shipping, clients are responsible for return shipping costs. 
• Returned items must be in their original, undamaged condition.
• You may return your purchase to the return address listed on your invoice.
• Please allow 7-10 business days from the time your return shipment is received for returns to be processed.

Shipping:

• Shipping Carriers: We offer free domestic ground shipping through either USPS, UPS, or FedEx carriers. If you have a preferred carrier, please let us know.
• Shipping times & logistics: We cannot guarantee shipping times, as policies differ from carrier to carrier, and we do not control logistics. When returning an item, we recommend you use the shipping carrier most convenient to you and keep a copy of your tracking number for your records. In the event that your package is lost or damaged, you will need this number to make a claim with the shipping carrier. For your protection, we advise that you insure your return package, as Silver Earth Designs cannot be held responsible for items lost or damaged in a return shipment.
• Damaged package: Should your package arrive damaged, please contact us immediately. Please provide a photo of the packaging and damaged item prior to shipping the item back so we may file an insurance claim and process your return shipment on your behalf.

Issue resolution:

• It is our desire that your experience with us is a pleasant one. We will work with you in good faith to remedy issues.
• Please keep in mind that Silver Earth Designs reserves the right not to accept returns made outside the parameters of this policy. If at any time you have any questions regarding these policies, please do not hesitate to contact us. We would be more than happy to assist you.
